Carolyn and Davids wedding day was the perfect combination between modern and industrial.
The venue they choose was the JX Venue, in downtown Stillwater, Minnesota had a beautiful bridal suite and grooms suite. David and his crew were able to relax and enjoy their morning downstairs in their suite while Carolyn and her bridesmaids were pampered up on a separate level.
When Carolyn reached out in regards to photographing their engagement session, I was ecstatic! I met Carolyn and David while photographing Carolyns sisters wedding the fall before. It is always so special to me when I get to work with families more than once. Whether that means capturing multiple weddings within the family, annual family photos, or updated couples photos. Not only does it help me remember names during the family photos, it also helps the family and the couple be comfortable with me following them around with a camera.
One highlight from there wedding was getting to photograph the entire bridal party along the St. Croix River as well as the beautiful stairway right inside of the JX Venue. Getting photos in both locations gave a great variety to Carolyn and Davids gallery. The stairway (featured below) is one of the best stairways I have come across as I’ve visited the many different venues within Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Between Carolyn and Davids engagement session and their wedding, I got to witness many moments where you could see how truly connected they are to one another. You could see the amount of love and respect they share amongst them. As a Minnesota wedding photographer, witnessing that love is truly special. It is what I strive to capture for each of my couples.
